Today (September 17) is the 230th birthday of the US Constitution. Happy birthday to “we the people.”
When was the last time you read the defining document of the United States of America? Have you ever read it in its entirety? I confess, my last reading was as a high school senior in government class. I can’t remember if I skipped and skimmed my way through the Articles. So this is the year I’ll do a reread.
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
